Our Story

IIn 1992, in Morelia, Michoacán, México, a special bond was formed in a kindergarten classroom. María Guadalupe Magaña Alvarado, a dedicated teacher, guided Polibio Lonngi through his first steps in reading, math, and writing at Centro Pedagógico Torres Quintero, the school she founded.
Many years later, inspired by the proven success of this teaching methodology, María Guadalupe and Polibio Lonngi teamed up in 2015 with a clear goal: to make these effective teaching methods accessible online to every teacher, educator, and anyone eager to teach early reading, math, and writing in Spanish—whether at home, in person, or online. And so, Sugled was born.
In 2021, Sugled was reimagined to focus on early bilingualism, specifically serving the Spanish immersion sector in the United States. By building on this proven methodology and bringing on board experienced, state-certified bilingual educators, Sugled ensures a high-quality learning experience for children.
Today, Sugled offers engaging online Spanish classes taught by certified teachers, helping children build a strong foundation in the Spanish language—"From First Words, to Bilingual Stars."
